How does the Mental Health simulator work? 

1. Students will correctly identify 17 common psychiatric diagnoses.

2. Students will correctly identify a psychiatric nursing diagnosis according to presented assessment data.

3. Students will demonstrate knowledge of common medications for presented psychiatric nursing diagnoses.

4. Students will identify side effects/ adverse effects of common psychiatric medications.

5. Students will assess levels of stress for a group of patients in a virtual clinical environment

6. Students will identify levels of stress from highest to lowest for a group of patients in a virtual clinical environment.

7. Students will demonstrate an understanding of appropriate interventions for identified stress levels of patients in a virtual clinical environment.

8. Students will demonstrate progress in caring for psychiatric patients through improvement in time and accuracy of simulation.
